Oak Knoll Winery is built on the site of a dairy farm and incorporates some of the historic structures dating back to 1917. Diligently working late at night, their Winemaker saw a faint white outline of an animal drinking from one of the freshly pressed vats of grapes. As he approached the tank the ghost of the famous 1939 blue ribbon heifer Penelope vanished. To appease the spirits, Oak Knoll dedicated this wine to the old dairy farm milking cows that haunt their cellar.
